Hasely looks to have figured out somethings and is a prospect once again. Playing in AA ball one year after his draft is being on target. Probably get a September call up this year and then start next season in LV and up to Philly by mid season.
Lately, in SSS, Randolph and Moniak are showing signs of improvement/development. Both of these guys are still relatively young for their levels of play. Jordan said that the Phillies wanted to challenge their draftees by advancing them to or above where their immediate talent levels were in order for them to hit a wall in their development and then push through it. This certainly has happened with both of these players. We'll just have to wait and see if they can carry on.

I'm as excited as the next guy about Haseley but I don't think they are going to use the 40 man roster spot to bring up Haseley this year.

I'm more optimistic about Moniak than Randolph. Moniak at least can play good CF defense and run a little.

I'm glad about Haseley but I remember when Williams and Crawford were supposed to make the team out of spring training last year. Even Cozens was pencilled in as a starter this year if you only went on his AA numbers (my recollection is people liked him better than Hoskins then). So he could still have some bumps ahead.

And yeah the September "courtesy" call-up is usually for guys in AAA (but, especially, for guys who are already on the 40. Who knows what the 40 will look like after trade season).

I would be surprised if they bring up Haseley in September for 40 man roster reasons. But, with the "be bold" mantra, who knows, especially if Kapler becomes enamored with him and insistent that he wants his bat on the bench for the final September push. However, if he keeps rolling, I would not be surprised if he ends up in LHV since the Pigs might need help for their postseason push.

Very encouraging for Moniak -- only 64 ABs but an OPS a little over .800 for July. His June was a disaster. Randolph over .900 OPS for July in 60 ABs -- after a disastrous every other month, two of them under .500 OPS..

My position with Randolph is call me if he does this for a whole season. With Moniak, it's call me if he does this for two straight months.
