Gabriel Yanez seems to be much improved in his 3rd year in the system (1 in DSL, 2 in GCL). 6'3" LHP with some projection so he could be filling out a bit.

That game was picked up tonight after it was suspended last night in the 1st inning. I'm thinking that with the storms in the area, they decided not to play those guys on the wet grounds.

It will be more telling if they're not in tonight's game 2 lineup. Check back.

Thanks, Friends. I'm delighted they are back in. BTW- Armas threw 4 innings of shutout ball, only giving up 1 hit. I checked his prior stats and have no idea where that came from. Somebody in the organization saw something they liked.

I’d love for Darick Hall to find a way to have a career with the Phils. As a hitter he’s like a minor league version of Dave Parker- he can bomb the ball from pole to pole. The trouble is, he’s not a good enough hitter or fielder to be an everyday player, and as a left handed hitter he hits lefties better than righties. I tend to think that’s an indication that a guy is going to be a better hitter than he seems, but in the meantime I don’t know what role he would ultimately fill at the big league level.
