Always interested in the Andrew Brown starts…Lakewood has promoted a couple of its pitchers and the guys at the end of the rotation still are interesting. Brown throws 91-92 t 94 with a high 70s curve. Seems to need one more pitch.

With Rosso promoted (along with their two top relievers) here's the current Lakewood rotation:

GCL East suffering the "Squire Jinx" today...

Just curious and would love some thoughts on this...is it that the Phils are truly developing some outstanding hitting prospects in the GCL or is the pitching in the rookie league simply poor this year. Someone mentioned that no less than 13 Phils have averages well over .300 this year and a day or two ago I noticed that no less than 7 of the 9 players in the lineup were hitting over .300.

Lakewood and Reading have fun lineups to follow these days....while Clearwater's is a wasteland.

Not that he'd be the savior, but I think I'd get Jake Scheiner up to Clearwater. At 22 (23 next month) with OPS over .800 it's time, and Clearwater desperately needs a bat now that they have lost Hall, Listi, and Haseley in the last 6 weeks or so and they have gotten absolutely nothing from Kyle Martin who might as well be released now and not in the winter.
