Bad weather, early in the season, file under "irrelevant."
Only thing so far that stands out is Moniak, and he's really not the same player we drafted, he's added something like 25 lbs to his frame - and that's the problem drafting 18 year olds, especially position players (when pitchers fill out it's usually positive, more velocity) where the body can change the skill package (more power, less speed, less agility).
So it'll be interesting to see if Moniak's power surge is a fluke or a sign that this is who he's growing up to be.
I love McCutcheon, but reality says by the 3rd year of his contract he may be the 4th OF, wouldn't break my heart if Haseley/Moniak can push him to the bench - obviously they're not playing RF in the immediate future!
