I always like it when a hitter in the minors has a big game when the other guys on his team are sort of shut down--it's more likely he was hitting against at least competent pitching. Cardoza had 4 of the team's 7 hits. I did not see the walk, though.

Lots of rain in LV through about 4:30, but it might be oK this evening. Abel needs a good outing badly. I thought they sent him to development camp??

Looks like it was just a 7-day pause between starts to work on things.

Not even to really work on things (he maybe got one extra bullpen session), but it bought then a AAA roster spot and then he got a full 7 days of rest (he was supposed to pitch Wednesday before all this rain) instead of 6. He threw a ton of pitches in his first inning last time out. They have used the dev list like this at almost every level this year.
