Guess who is leading Clearwater in HR? None other than Devin Saltiban. He has had a sneaky good year for a raw player in full season ball at a young age. 761 OPS, 13 HR, 20 SB, decent defense at 2B without too much experience. 46/86 BB/K ratio is also decent even though the batting average is still low.

Looks like they drove Walker all the way to Akron so he could pitch tonight. Phillies really want this to go well I guess.

Depends what $72 million buys. If so Reading is getting a heck of a spread in Akron after the game.

His outfield defense at Reading is much better than the one at LHV if he is still giving up fly balls. Hopefully of the 350-foot variety rather than 450.

I would personally rather drive than take two flights from Allentown to Akron (or Cleveland) but he probably would have had the right to refuse the trip either way. But seriously, so long as Middleton's private plane was reasonably close that wouldn't be a hard thing to do. Heck I think Jake Arrieta, the Taijuan Walker of his day, got a ride on it for his press conference.

Looks like Walker pitched pretty well. Curious on the reports about his stuff but assume he is back next week.
