Was at the Reading game in Richmond last night and Ortiz was hitting the ball very well. Did not get to see any home runs, but he got 3 solid hits. Stott also hit well. Both were personable to the fans. Missed Crouse pitching tonight, but fans there I know said he was very nice - he was in game mode last night charting so no chit chat with me. I wanted to post at the game but forgot my password... I also saw Kevin Gowdy when I saw Hickory at Greensboro. I talked to him and he seemed very nice and I wished him well.
I used to be able to see three levels of Phils minors easily in VA, but this year only Reading so feeling a little disconnected from the minor levels. I hope schedules are better next year (no 6 game series which allow you to see half the number of teams clustered nearby) but I am not holding my breath with MLB in charge. Made a last minute push to see minors before the ungodly early start to teaching this year (Monday). It is what it is - Go Phils
