He is too old to be in High A, but Mitch Neunborn had quite a day. 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K. Aussie background. Hit mostly in college, so maybe there is something here.
I was wondering how he was at Jersey Shore at his age (26)! He's not rule 5 eligible until Dec of '26 so he has time to move through AA and AAA. There is larger spread in pitcher age-development curves than there is in hitter age-development curves, so there is a remote chance he is a prospect...
Mitch has been a pitcher since college, mostly in Australia and was a key member of their WBC team. He also has never pitched in affiliate ball before, and has not been a starter for this period of time. There is some velocity to work with and a full pitch arsenal. He is an interesting arm, but not really a prospect prospect.
