Simon Muzziotti sighting. Doubled in his first AB for FCL. No Painter yet though his first appearance was rescheduled from last Friday to sometime this week.

Hao Yu Lee also making his debut at 2B (so he is not limited to 3B for the moment). To jog folks memory, he was the Taiwanese kid we signed for $600-$650K this year:

Nerd alert. I had never played with it too much, but whenever minor league teams play in a stadium setup for statcast data we get a live boxscore of all that data. Occasionally FCL plays in the big stadium like they are doing today:

Ben Brown up to 95 in his rehab inning. Edgar Made HR was the hardest hit ball by the Phillies though Jamari Baylor just hit a HR and has 3 balls at 93+ exit velocity (with an out the hardest hit).

Jamari Baylor is having a decent year (double,HR today). I know he is a bit overaged for FCL (though maybe not by 2021 pandemic standards)

Hard to know what to make of him given the layoff and the age, but at least it has been a good season. He was one of those picks where we were definitely the organization that was highest on him and he was a late riser in the draft. Given he was in Almaraz' last draft I do have my doubts, but he is also not Almaraz' type so I think the scouts and cross-checkers really like him too. I think he has a better shot to stick at SS compared to Kendall Simmons, though probably not as good defensively as Luis Garcia.

In terms of playoffs, FCL is our only stateside team over .500. 3.5 games behind the Yankees with a DH scheduled Thursday (one was suspended with the Phillies up 3-2).

DSL White is in first place of their division by 4 games (3rd best record in all the DSL).

Ethan Wilson 2-5 up to .273. Has not walked much but a pretty good strikeout rate. Decent showing after a slow start.

I hope they keep the minor league season start pushed back until late April or May. With the later draft it is a good thing that Wilson will get at least 100 AB.
