I'm moving yesterday's summary to today's thread for visibility:
McFarlane was more than solid in his debut (although he took the loss since CLW was shut out). 3 IP, 1 ER, 6 Ks.
Ethan Lindow has had a very nice year at Reading, which is a tough place to pitch. ERA of 3.66, low WHIP, 58 Ks in 76 IP. He got hit hard when he was first up at Reading at the end of May in two games, but he hasn't given up more than 3 runs in a game since, and he's mostly let in 2 runs or 1 run in ~6 IP. Opposing batters are hitting .230 against him and he's averaging about one walk per game over the last 3 months. Something to work with, maybe.
Lehigh Valley won on a 4-run, ninth inning come from behind rally finished off by a Bryce Harper walk-off 2-out, 2-run double, his third hit of the game. It was a sinking line drive off the end of the bat into the LCF gap that the CF missed catching by less than a foot. Harper might be a prospect to keep an eye on...
