Yesterday's roundup. Dylan Crews had a nice debut (1-1, R, RBI, SB, 2 BB) against Reading. Would not be shocked to see him in the majors in September though the Nats should probably game his service time and wait till next May or June.

Klassen did a bullpen yesterday reportedly hitting 98. Would be nice to see him in Clearwater over the next week. Hopefully some FCL promotions today as well.

Unfortunately after seeing Crews play for six games, I think the Nationals have a stud on their hands. Very nice too / fan friendly. I wish him well against everyone except the Phils

More good stuff here from Steve Potter on the complex leagues. Pedro Peralta seems an arm to watch being up to 97 at age 16.

Aidan Miller promoted to Low A Clearwater

We shuffled a bunch of DSL players around for the playoffs too. Assume all DSL franchises with 2 teams have done that if only 1 made the playoffs. Too bad Caba will miss them. Nolan Beltran, the 2nd year SS from Colombia was one of them and will likely play SS for the White team. He has had a sneaky good year at age 18 (780 OPS) and offers a little more power potential as a bigger (in height and likely weight by now) prospect than Bergolla and Caba.

It makes a lot of sense to give the best prospects some playoff experience.

My first impression here in Wilmington - Leandro Pineda is huge

McGowan went 4 scoreless. Pretty efficient. A couple hard hit balls. Seemed to be a two pitch pitcher. Fastball was 94-96. Another pitch which I assume was a slider was 85-88. Simmons made some nice plays behind him and McGowan himself fielded a rocket and turned it into a 1-6-3 double play

a few nice pitching performances tonight. Petit with a beauty. Abel with a nice comeback game. he got tired at the end of last year. let's see how he finishes. and again, don't sleep on McGowan. a little more work today. Squire mentions the 2 pitches. the third, his change up, is going to be a beauty. give it time. he just got back.
