First one looks like it is headed to TX. Second one is in the Dominican today and might go to Puerto Rico next. 3 more out there in various stages though.

Steve Potter also runs down the much more extensive set of promotions this week. I guess the "last month of the year" promotions are going to be a standard thing with the later draft either forcing promotions or releases above the lowest rungs in the system. The upper level seasons go longer too, especially at AAA which goes 2 weeks longer than anyone else.

They have absolutely emptied the bench for this FCL game. 19 position players have played and 10 pitchers. Won 15-5. It was like Senior Day with a big lead.

If I'm reading this right, the FCL Phils miss the playoffs by percentage points, losing out to the hated Braves who played one less game with the same number of wins. It's probably better for the players who are hoping to get promoted to full-season teams, though.

It would be nice to see at least Miller and Saltiban at Clearwater for the final weeks and playoffs. Maybe even Walton too (listed as TJ instead of Tayshaun on BR BTW). Miller and Saltiban have only played SS so far though so maybe they decide that moving them around the field on a playoff team is a bit much. It is not as if we are not playing a prospect at SS already (Bergolla).

Lots of playoff possibilities this year. DSL White and Clearwater (first half champ) are in. Jersey Shore is tied for the second half league and Lehigh Valley is a half game up. It is not really prospects driving Lehigh Valley, but hopefully they will add a couple of players from Reading for the stretch. I imagine Abel's innings and recent performance are a bit of a question, though Kerkering and maybe De La Cruz could be interesting promotions for the last few weeks.

Was at the Complex today for first 5 innings. I missed the 8-run 6th inning but had enough sun and things to do as well on the vacation.

I was told Miller was out due to illness as well. He hit the ball hard 3 times today. One was a line out to left center, then a hard hit line single to left, and finally a line single through the hole to right. His approach just reminded me of Alec Bohm a bit: attacks the ball when he gets his pitch, and good bat speed.
