Yhoswar Garcia finally back rehabbing for FCL. 2 more SB and a CS. If he could ever get 500+ plate appearances in a year he might steal 100 bases even while he is hitting .200.

I'm not sure the evidence points that way. The players who stole 100 bases in a major league season in the modern era don't seem to have had their careers shortened. Rickey Henderson played another 20 years after stealing 100, and Maury Wills and Vince Coleman played another decade. Lou Brock played only five more seasons, but he was 35 when he stole 100.

I doubt he would steal that many if he actually got on base more. But the rate he has stolen this year is astonishing. He has 27 hits and 14 BBs but 4 of those hits were 3Bs or HRs. So 37 times on 1B or 2B plus likely some random HBPs and errors. He has 31 SBs and 7 CSs in those times on base. He basically is running every time. He is not as good as Johan Rojas at stealing bases so I imagine they would not run him as much against better catchers. But for now, learning how to be a better base stealer is clearly much of his offensive plan.
