I watched a bit of the Lakewood game. Marcano's stuff and angle is similar to Ranger Suarez- low 90s fastball, good slider/curve and change. Of course what makes Ranger good is his command and between his ears, and no way to tell about Marcano yet.
Man I like watching Andrew Baker pitch- the fastball is something else. He throws curves and sliders, and his curve is the better pitch and probably plays better off his fastball, but because he's so inconsistent with his release and command of it resulting in hangers I wonder if focusing on slider isn't a better fit for him. Fingers crossed he takes another step forward in his development next year at Reading.
