Wish I could go to the Sunday game, but brother-in-law bought us tickets to the Fredericksburg Nationals. Not free on F/Sat. Reading does not come back with the stupid six game home stands. Oh well, I guess I will have to road trip!

Leandro Pineda is suddenly a bit interesting. He has never hit much (.219 average with a 674 OPS last year in Clearwater) but apparently has made a lot of progress in the offseason. Hit a HR in one of the big club spring training games. Still only 21 until June. The surprise is not really that he got promoted to a relatively weak Jersey Shore team. It is that he is batting 3rd on that team.

5-9 in that lineup seem pretty uninteresting. Wouldn't be a bad idea to sign an older, professional minor league hitter to punch up their offense.

I hope Jersey Shore doesn't turn Lee into a .230 hitter with no power like it does so many other promising bats.

I guess Ward, Quiron, and maybe Nava (not playing today) might help the offense. Baylor had a nice spring, wonder why he's not DHing?

There should be some Clearwater reinforcements in a month or two. Rincones hopefully moves quickly and even guys like Cade Fergus and Caleb Ricketts should really be in High A in their first full season at some point.

Lee's power numbers will take a hit but he makes so much solid contact that he should still have a decent batting average if all goes well.

Some good notes here from yesterday (AAA plus camp scrimmage). Looks like Sanchez is close to being back with 3+ innings in the scrimmage.

I'm not sure I'd see Rixon Wingrove as "interesting," and at the same time see Nick Ward, Anthony Quirion and Jared Carr as "pretty uninteresting." Based on their performance this winter in Adelaide, Wingrove is no more interesting at the plate than the other three, and defensively, he's the one who is most limited (i.e., 1B or DH, period).

I tried setting this up, but I got a message saying I was ineligible. I have MLB TV through T-Mobile. The Phillies minors are showing up, but when I tried set up other minor league teams it says ineligible. I sent a message to their customer service. We will see what happens. They did refund my $29.99 for MLB at Bat since I had the T-Mobile offer. I hope it gets settled so I can see other teams.

It does not work through milb.tv. Only through the major league site. Click on the MLB.TV logo on their site and you should see the minor league teams of your favorite team.

The second bullet is where I get the error. I can watch JS game, but want to set up seeing MiLB TV access. Any I will figure it out or not use it as long as I have the Phils. Thanks

Nice starts for Lee (1-2, 2 R, BB, HBP) and Pineda (2-4, 2 2B, RBI). Up 5-4 in the 6th.

Alex McFarlane has come out throwing 98-100, including with his sinker. Unfortunately, not a lot of strikes.

I don’t know what leagues it applies, but on the Clearwater broadcast they said the first 3 games of each series will be called robo up, and the second three by umpire. Each team gets unlimited challenges, until they are wrong 3 times. However, they only get 3 sect after the pitch so it seems the call may come to the hitter and not someone watching.

That is definitely easy velocity from McFarlane. Huge movement too which is why he is a project because he can't throw many strikes yet. Breaking stuff is just "show me" for now. Both the change and the curve look to be in the 87-89 range.
