Watching him in ST, I think he's a year behind Escobar as a hitter, and his catching needs work.
Escobar was pounding AAA/marginal ML pitching in camp, I suspect he'll hit his way out of Clearwater way before Tait.

Of course, Tait is 18, there's no rush!

I'm not sorry that he's missing cold-weather starts at our higher-level northern farm teams. No walks is an impressive performance, even considering that I would expect it to be easier to get Ks and avoid BBs against lower-level competition that is less experienced and less weeded-out by progression up the chain. Control/Command has always been the issue with McGarry and many of our other pitching prospects (looking at you Abel, and quite a few others_.
