I'm shocked the Pigs aren't playing Muñoz at SS--he's younger and has a stronger resume.

Hernandez gave up three runs in the 5th, on a walk and a pair of home runs. Jake Newberry relieved, and got the final out of the inning. Mid-5th, 3-0 Columbus. And yeah, it has started to rain.

Actually....I don't think Kikutaro was around last season and I ended up doing most of them by hand.

That has to be one of the least interesting lineups fir a AAA team I have seen. Not a single prospect. With Stott playing in the majors I wonder if there is even a reason to have the LHV games this year. I guess we need the AAAA types as backups for injuries, but there is truly nothing to be excited about in that lineup.

Hopefully a few of the AA prospects get there. The current roster also has some reliever possibles. Dohy certainly. But Duron who closed touches 100 also and is clearly one of those pitchers who could see big league time if his control improves. Morales will be on the Seranthony plan at AA. Hope he earns a promotion in a couple of months.

The Iron Pigs pitching staff is still likely to be pretty important, it's just that 3-5 of those arms are in the majors for now (between the expanded rosters and injuries). Just hopefully not too important.

If it turns out neither Moniak nor Bohm/Stott play in Allentown this year that would be great. If it turns out Torreyes is never needed, ditto. Kingery will still be there trying to reclaim a roster spot (or trade value). And both catchers will be worth following.

The thinnness is largely due to COVID slowing some ascents but the good players have also been mostly skipping AAA for a long time now. Even on the Phillies, if with poor results so far.
