Ricardo Rosario has been sneaky good for an unheralded player down in Clearwater. 1-2 with 3 BBs last night leading off. 6-18 with 8 BBs and only 5 Ks on the year. Rosario is 20. Small, quick OF out of Venezuela signed in 2019 and was not one of the named bonuses that year. Note he is now leading off for a team with a couple of really highly touted leadoff prospects in Crawford and Boyd (who admittedly have both hit 1-2 a lot also). We should remember that Phillies lineup decisions in the lower minors are often as much about prospect status (how the team sees the player) as performance.
