The others are McFarlane and Kerkering I believe. We of course have not seen Painter. Not sure if Baker has had as complete Statcast coverage but he may not be hitting 100 this season yet.

Baker only had Statcast for Spring Training and peaked at 98.7 there. Painter peaked at 99 in spring and McKinley Moore at 98.8. The other guy who may have done it is Mick Abel who was up to 98.5 in Spring Training on Statcast and has reportedly been in the high 90s with Reading.

Thanks. Do evaluators have much of a feel for Pan yet? The velocity seems a little more than when they signed him. I assume the Phillies would prefer to develop him as a starter once they figure out what secondary pitches work best for him (as opposed to Kerkering where they want him to develop on a faster track as a reliever).

I am just wondering if we found another top 100 prospect (like with McGarry) that kind of fell through the international scouting cracks if most teams figured he did not have an extra velocity gear being 20 and not 17. Control seems pretty good right away also.

I have not really talked to any scouts on him yet, just the data and my own eyes looking at video. I don't know if they are going to full starting pitcher stretch out with him, but we will see. I think Mattingly said they are starting with working him to 3-4 innings. The velocity is more consistently up than what I think was reported, but he was averaging near 98 I think before they signed him. The shape on the 4S is better than I thought it was. The secondary pitches are a lot and really that is where we will see what he can be, because as much as McGarry's fastball gets mentioned his secondaries are very very good. The control has been the big surprise for me, though it mostly is just the fastball and the command does need work there.

On the where does he fit in the system scale, he probably still slot behind Alex McFarlane, but ahead of the single inning RPs (Baker and Kerkering) and the live armed lottery tickets (Segura, Estanista, etc.)
