Maybe I missed something, but is Abel hurt? Has not pitched since 4/13.

Not that I know of. Mondays are off days for the minor league teams and I think they are going with a six man rotation to spread the innings.

One of the downsides of the 6-game minor league series is that it often devolves into pitching once a week rather than every 5 days. I think Abel's game is the milb tv game of the day FWIW. There was a lot of wanting Painter and Abel and McGarry to pitch on weekends last season just like college rotations.

Abel looked good: 97 MPH fastball finding spots on the outside of the plate. Some of the hitters he faced looked completely overmatched.
