Ooh. A big start for Abel. Series is 1-1 with Gwinnett, Pigs would like to get a lead in the series, and Abel wants to build on his last two starts. Nice weather predicted in the Northeast, too, and a lovely evening predicted for Gwinnett. The Gwinnett starter, minor league “journeyman” Nathan Wiles, hasn’t given up a run yet this year in two starts. Braves got him from the Rays in March for cash four years after Wiles had TJ surgery (forcing him to miss 2020 and 2021). Wiles also pitched well in Spring Training this year before he was sold to the Braves, but was unlucky on balls in play.
