No radar on the broadcast, but he looked to be about 90-94, better in the first than later. Not enough life on it yet to survive without being precise with it. Threw some ok change ups that missed the zone, but his curve was as advertised- tight, sharp break. Definitely a plus pitch that he had a decent feel for. There were a couple 22 year old ringers in the Mets lineup who crushed pitches even outside the zone.
Jadiel Sanchez might be something- I realize he showed that last year too, but he has a pretty and balanced left handed swing, swings hard but still gets his share of opposite field hits. With another 10-15 lbs of muscle he could make himself a top 5 system prospect.
Cristian Hernandez, on the other hand, was 93-94 but with real good carry and life on his fastball. His curve and slider have potential but look like they could use some work in the pitching lab to sharpen them up.
