The guy was my hero as a kid, and I still contend if I had one draft pick to take a player in his prime it would be him. He dominated the game like no one else (except Chamberlain, who played in a time that the game was just very different).
Sells alot of his stuff just to add money to a charity to help people, and maybe he likes the idea of his rings, etc. outliving him. Holds on to 1 ring from each city (presumably for his family). The guy is just a class act and has always been an interesting, intelligent guy. I was able to meet him once when I was 10 (actually him and Chamberlain together sitting watching an NBA Game). Great human being, wildly misunderstood at times, he was a prodigy so early that he should have been messed up in the head, and maybe he was a little (incredibly shy and distant at times in his life) but a great guy to have as a sports hero. He, Dr. J, Mike Schmidt and Hank Aaron were mine as a kid, and there isnt a bum in that lot.
