PHILLIES AGREE TO TERMS WITH HASELEY
Club has agreed to terms with seven of its top 10 2017 draft selections
Outfielder Adam Haseley, selected eighth overall by the Phillies in the first round of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft, has agreed to terms with the club, Johnny Almaraz, Director of Amateur Scouting announced today.
The 21-year-old batted .390 (87-223) with 16 doubles, 14 home runs, 56 RBI, 44 walks, 68 runs and a 1.150 OPS in 58 games for the University of Virginia during the 2017 season. He won the Atlantic Coast Conference batting title and also led the conference with a .491 on-base percentage while ranking second in slugging percentage (.659) and runs, fifth in total bases (147) and sixth in hits.
Haseley, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound left-handed hitter, received numerous accolades following his junior season, and was nominated for several more. Baseball America named him a First-Team All-American, Collegiate Baseball tabbed him as a Second-Team All American, and he was also a First-Team All-ACC honoree. Haseley is a finalist for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award, and was a finalist for the John Olerud Two-Way Player Award and semi-finalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, given to the top college player in the nation.

SS Nick Maton - 7th round, 203rd
LHP Jhordany Mezquita - 8th round, 233rd
3B/1B Jack Zoellner - 9th round, 263rd
RHP Connor Brogdon - 10th round, 293rd
