DuPlantier seems likelier to give us help this year than Vines. He was bad in 2021, better in 2022. Vines better in 2021, barely pitched and not good, must be injury, in 2022. Both at AAA. Both get their Ks, Duplantier very wild. Hopefully we don't see either in Philly -- both injury reserves but not first call.

Another, previously unreported minor league signing appeared in the transactions lists this morning; RHP Louis Head.

Another high K wild man but going into age 33 season with over 60 MLB IP. A very fine 35 IP in MLB in 2021 with few walks. A good gamble in a season when everyone signed for AAA needs to have a chance to help the MLB Phillies -- most won't actually help, but the AAA active roster will be manned by the guys who come out of ST with the best chance to contribute in 2023 if the Phillies need to look to Allentown for help. This includes our top prospects. It should be a season-long competition for pitchers vying to move up to Philly from Allentown.

Well we did sign the second best Puerto Rican middle infielder this week I guess. Solid walk rate and puts the ball in play, though little power or speed. Slots behind Kingery in the emergency recall pecking order.
