Perez bonus is $1.2 million. Heredia would be the 7th and is a CF. Need some pitching hopefully.

Pool is $4.73 million prior to any allocation trades. Those trades are more expensive these days since no teams are in the penalty and are unable to fully use their allocations. Whether some teams do not want to spend the money is unclear. COVID budget concerns could make some teams more willing to trade. The Phillies, of course, have prominently stated their own budget concerns though their claims of losses are likely embellished.

I guess there is a big difference of opinion on Flores if BA ranked him high and MLBPipeline left him off the list, but he's got a strong body with a very quiet swing- BP looks very promising at least. Heredia has a very good looking projectable body, but as someone else noted, he's very long with his motions, which makes the polish in Flores swing more apparentl.

We'll probably know for sure later, but BA has the bonus at $1.3 million for Flores. There could always be some rounding going on also (i.e. $1.35 million).

According to Jesse Sanchez at mlb.com, trading of international bonus pool money is no longer allowed.

The relevant information is in the last paragraph:

Unlike in previous years, teams are not allowed to trade any of their international pool money.

Looks like the prohibited trading of pool money as part of the emergency measures around the draft and player acquisition that occurred before the 2020 season. One could ask why, though I assume the biggest reason is it will save a tiny bit of money for some team.

Edit - Heredia official too so we have 8 signings on the BA tracker now. Only the 1 pitcher though if we remember our NDFAs after the draft were all pitchers so it is not like they are ignoring the pitching side (though all those college signings are 5-6 years older than today's signings).
