Harper gets going! 3-0 Phillies after the 3 run shot.

Segura gets two out single followed by Bruce triple to make it 4-0.

Gives Phillies cycle for the inning. Singles by Haseley and Segura, double by Hoskins, triple from Bruce and the Harper home run. (not in order)

Phillies 4, Marlins 0.

Vince only faced 3 in the first. Lead off hitter reached on error as Velasquez dropped an easy toss from Hoskins as he reached the bag well ahead of the runner. Error 1. Then they picked off the runner after replay overturned a safe call.

Harper lined the first pitch to him into the stands in right field. Hoskins doubled off the wall into the left field corner. Some nice hitting in the first inning.

When we discussed who should bat 1st and 2nd I don't think we imagined a game in which both Cutch and Quinn were sitting.

I bet JT starts 58 games, just a question of how many of them are behind the plate.

Time to give up on The Vince as a starting pitcher experiment. Guy has no idea where is ball his going when he throws it.

Yes, he follows the 3 run home run with a walk. Still only one out in the second and four runs already scored.

VV picks off another runner and then gets a ground out to escape with only 4 runs scored in the second.

All tied up after two innings, 4-4.

Velasquez has two pick offs at first in the six outs he has gotten so far in the game.

I was disappointed with the VV or Pivetta as the 5th starter and today does not improve my mood. 4 run lead against the Marlins, big series with only 60 games and 4 coming up against the Yanks. And VV comes up small after being up 4-0. I can't imagine the Phils giving him too many more chances to start.

Phillies retake the lead 5-4 in the second. Haseley hits a one out double, moves to third on WP and scores on E-2 as the catcher gets ball quickly on bounce off the bricks behind the plate and then throws to third, ball going down the left field line, allowing Haseley to come home.

Both pitchers put up scoreless innings in the third.

Velasquez walked one and ran his pitch count to 60 over 3 innings.

Dugger had 1-2-3 inning with 2 Ks and his pitch count is 56 in 3 innings.

Irvin out for the fourth inning. His first pitch is smashed but snagged by Gregorius for an out. Hit about as hard as one could but just in the right place for Didi to turn it into an out.

Irvin looking very feeble as he gives up a single and a triple and just like that, the game is tied again. Marlins have runner on third with one out.

Everyone has hit the ball hard off of irvin.
