Neris set up a situation for practice by starting the inning with a double by Eaton, followed by a walk and then a balk, putting runners on second and third with no outs.

Then he got a ground ball to first, a pop up and a strikeout to escape with only one run scored, the run coming in on the no out grounder to Hoskins.

Score 7-1 going into the 8th inning. Irvin pitched a scoreless seventh for the Phillies.

All of the Phillies starters except Bruce, the DH, are out of the game.

Voth completes his third 1-2-3 inning in the top of the 8th.

Phillies win 7-2. It has seemed like the pitchers are ahead of the hitters in Summer Camp. Glad to see the Phillies hitters tee off against Scherzer.

Nola had a nice outing giving up only one hit and one walk over 5 innings. Even got an extra out in two innings for nice 1-2-3-4 innings. He had at least one 1-2-3 inning as well.

Phillies hitters scored early on the two 3-run home runs (Gergorius and Harper).

The announcers for the Nationals were talking about who will be running down balls along the foul lines since there are no ball boys/girls this season. These people, one down behind first and one third, field multiple foul balls each game and keep the pace of play moving. Seems like teams will have to have someone from the approved access group doing this job during the season.
