Nola sets them down in order in the top of the 1st though Segura may still be forgetting that he's not the SS (he played a grounder that probably should have been Didi's, but no harm).

I'm not actually this negative but it would be funny if, after firing the manager who won 32 and 33 games in his first 60 but couldn't beat the Marlins or finish strong, we end up with one who can't beat the Marlins, starts slow, and only wins 30.

Well this isn’t a promising start to the season. Looks very similar to last year. Only one game, but they all count a lot more this year.

Shutdown innings seem to always be hard for us to come by.

My son and I have a running joke about the bullpen. In addition to the usual set-up man, closer, LOOGY etc, the Phillies always seem to carry a guy whose role is to "come in when the Phils are behind and get them further behind". We call it the "Rheal Cormier" slot. Not really sure why the Phillies find this role indispensable, but it looks like we have found our guy for the year.
