Robertson has been shaky, but where would we be without him?

Robertson has done very well since coming over in the trade and he did get out of the 9th without giving up a run. Bottom line, he got the job done. He also earns the win tonight. Overall, the pitching was good. Strong outing from Nola and Alvarado, not so much from Hand, but only 2 runs in 9 innings is a good night for the pitching.

Injuries have hurt the Phillies although I guess all teams have had players lost to injury. Sure would be good to get Wheeler, Castellanos, Dominguez, and Eflin back sometime this month.

A good win to start the homestand and a win the Phillies really needed. Let's get another tomorrow.

Sosa has been a better pick up than I gave him credit for initially. His footprint is all over this game tonight. In the field an at bat.

I agree he got the job done, sorta. Basically he was lucky, the CS saved him.

Robertson has been Mitch Williams like so far. Every outing is "oh $&@!/" and most have been "whew". I don't think I have enjoyed seeing him coming into games late in games.

You can question some of Thomason’s moves tonight, but deciding to play Sosa was a good one.

I don't think you have to give him any credit it for it really. Sosa is going to play once or twice a week, one or both of them will be against a LH starter, and tonight it worked. Some nights it won't. But he'll still get those starts.

They need to give Robertson a week off if they haven’t already broken him with those 40 pitch outings.

He was 90-92 mph this last outing with no command and stuff that looked an awful lot like 2019 David Robertson.

Meanwhile, the Braves are now tied with the Mets for first in the NL East and first NL wildcard and the Padres had a dramatic comeback of their own over the Diamondbacks (down 5-0, clawed their way back to ultimately win 6-5 with two runs in the bottom of the ninth). They stay tied with the Phillies for second.

I agree that some time off for Robertson would help, but seeing more of Hand, Bellatti, Nelson, etc. could cost a game or two.
