I see the wink, but that truly is meaningless as a regular season stat, and against who knows what kind of schedule too. He has not been allowed to go more than 5 1/3 in two post-seasons (and he lost that game as well as the next one in which he went 4 2/3). Of course him only going 3 2/3 in Game 1 of the NLDS last year allowed them to pitch him again in Game 4. This year I don't think you can do that regardless of pitch counts. But I was really hoping for our bullpen's sake and our sanity that he had become a guy who might go as long as Wheeler or Nola.
