The good news is Walker's velo was uip to 92-93, the bad news his command was MIA.
Soto is a big disappointmnet, along with Marte and Brogdon.

For all the hype over Painter, the young RPs are all at Jersey Shore and Reading - this is where years of farm system mismanagement is showing, Rojas had to jump from AA, Marchan and Muzzioti are the only legitimate prospects in Lehigh, and the bullpen is mostly retreads.You needf to produce stars, but you also need the kind of depth where a young RP can come up and make a difference when needed.

That put José Alvarado and Craig Kimbrel in the unenviable position of having to avoid the Phillies’ first seven-run collapse since Aug. 29, 2022.

Going to need Seranthony to close tonight if it comes to that. He has been a little better of late. Might be a nice confidence booster if the back of the bullpen (and maybe Hoffman) can get to him.

Hopefully Lorenzen can be better than he has been. Or the score in the 6th inning will call for Covey (either way). Him, Strahm, Hoffman, Seranthony (as HSE already said, oops).

Soto and maybe even Belllatti should also be available, just a question of whether you want them to be.

When you go to a 6-man rotation you sometimes have to use someone like Covey in a higher leverage situation. Others are available, but we also need to limit the back to backs down the stretch. All the pitchers that pitched yesterday might need to pitch in the day game tomorrow.

At least we won't be wondering if Noah Song can pitch the 6th tonight.
