Hughes has an excellent track record. Two sub-.2.00 ERA seasons, including 2018. Career ERA of 2.89 even including this year. Better career numbers than Neris, arguably. Along with Neris, still has one of the lowest WHIPs on the team this year (though Parker's is even lower). And an awful FIP because he has a home run problem (even more than Hector). But he's supposed to be a ground ball pitcher.
If you think that can't be fixed or believe he's in physical decline at 33, sure, move on. But anyone without an uncuttable salary is welcome in my book.
Morin is closer to a Condrey - who was always the last guy in the pen - than a Durbin but unless tendering him comes at the expense of someone better (Austin Davis? Eickhoff?) he's still a body.
