Im not sure we noticed or not.. But Wheeler has been very mediocre over his last 5 starts.

Over his last 5 starts he has a 4.36 ERA and a 1.424 WHIP (47 baserunners in 33 innings) His k/9 is down by over one compared to his full season numbers

In his last 4 starts hes given up 30% of the HRs and 33% of the doubles hes given up all season

His ERA has risen from 2.05 on July 2nd to 2.57 now.

I know the first and worst of those starts was before but it seems like the all-star break was a factor. Disruption of routine, long layoff, perhaps even the weirdness of a relief appearance. He's piling up innings, but he didn't run out of gas in 2018 or 2019, so hopefully just a lull.
