With VV and Howard as the starters that's not necessarily good news for the bullpen, but we'll certainly have a lot of guys available. If you don't get the extra player for the doubleheader, are you allowed to make a roster move between games?
I saw it was postponed before I saw the thread, was nervous it was another positive test at first!
Phillies have not announced second game starter for Sunday but there is some speculation that it will be Howard. They know if he has been throwing well at the ATS and is ready. Velasquez is the other starter for Sunday and Arrieta is starting the game tomorrow.
Even if he's not the starter, he's definitely pitching. And there's really no reason for that to not happen in the first inning rather than the fourth or fifth, especially now.
As expected, Howard will be called up for one of the starts on Sunday.
