Pivetta showed good mental toughness.
He's starting to throw his changeup more, but like his slider, struggles to command it for strikes.
Needs to develop a legitimate 2 seamer in the off season, his four seamer is more hittable than Velasquez, so like Eflin, he needs to set it up to be more effective. If he can use the 2 seamer to throw off hitter's timing, and the changeup to catch them waiting on the FB, he could be a monster.
The other thing Pivetta has to do is pitch more to contact, Ks are nice but not when you throw 105 pitches in 5 innings.
