Well if they want Phillips to take Walker's next start they could call up Marte and then bounce him back next week. Gilbert can't be called back up yet. Allard neither. Could also put Covey on the 40 though they might want to wait on that.

As bad as Walker is, without Allard available there's no obvious SP or bullpen game scenario that looks better, though obviously Phillips had made several starts that were better.
