They should probably shut down Brogdon for a week, he's really slipped the last couple weeks, don't know if it's an arm issue (velo isn't off but command is) or a mental issue. But he was lights out, then knocked out.
I can't really get a feel for Falter, he actually threw harder as the game went on (those two long innings were probably tough on getting into a rhythm), 92-93 and that extension makes it harder to pick up. His slider is meh, and his curve and changeup below average. If he can improve his secondary pitches he can win a SP job next year - his FB is good enough but he needs to set it up, he's not just going to blow by people. Nor does his 2 seamer have the great movement of Nola.
Falter is a good example where a change in grip or other incremental improvements can make a huge difference - developing a plus changeup that tails away from RH hitters would move him from marginal to solid starter.
