Seranthony still will be a solid reliever for the Phillies but I don't think Kapler handled him well. He never should have been using him as much as he did when he was getting everyone out.

The Phillies need to go after an established closer this winter. Short of that, I’d vote for Neris getting a chance to win the job if he pitches well for the remainder of this season.

The problem with this team this week has been shutdown innings. When we go out and score runs we have immediately let the other team score. Kills momentum.

Pivetta set the tone with the lead off walk after coming back out with a 5 run lead. That 3 runs that inning put the Blue Jays back in the game. Without question, the Phillies pitchers just are not getting the job done this month, with the exception of Nola.

Unless there is a change soon, third place looks more and more likely.

The Nationals have lost, as well, so at least the Phillies don’t lose any ground. We’ll see what happens with the Braves.

Getting hard to watch this team when Nola isn’t pitching. It seems like we’re just waiting for disaster to strike - on the mound if we’re ahead or at the plate if we’re behind and we have a chance to score. Hope that VV has a good game in him tomorrow; someone besides Nola has to be able to stop the slide
