My disdain for Walker starting games has been made clear.

Phils have lost his last 7 starts, greatly because of his inept pitching.

If he qualified he would be 62nd out of 63 qualifiers. He would however have the worst FIP. He is that bad, but he has actually been lucky.

I have no clue why we keep doing this. Maximizing his inning by having him start makes me really question Thomson.

Hopefully I have to eat these words in a couple hours.

I think Walker has been injured all year. His velocity has been 2+ mph lower than last year. In his last start he threw only 4 pitchers above 92 per the bot. For both his sake and the Phillies, he should be shut down now IMO. Certainly somebody else on the Phils system can pitch as well as Walker at this point.

Unlike many phans, I hold no animus towards Walker. I want him to come back healthy in 2025 and pitch the way he had in 2022 and 2023.
