At some point we have to realize of course that considering Blake Parker as one of our better relievers is a little bit funny and a little bit scary.

It is. In a normal season he's your 8th or 9th guy, along with the kids you keep optioning up and back. And in a nine-inning game we would have seen someone worse (or maybe Howard would have been left in to lose the game in the 5th).

Not sure I would have sent Parker back out, though I guess there's match-up/three-batter rules to consider. That falls apart if he doesn't get an out though.
