Pretty good lineup but only if you switch Rhys and Jean. This crazy approach would make sense if you wanted to get Rhys more ABs and Jean fewer. The opposite is true and I'm not even getting into power hitting in the clean-up position. Sometimes I wonder if Gabe sees things in a crystal ball and then acts on the vision? After a player goes 4 strikeouts for 4 ABS, what analytics expert thinks this is the reaction?

So we just had a big debate in the other thread about a line-up (with Rodriguez instead of Haseley) that didn't even happen.

One assumes - no joke - that Charlie had some input into the order. Obviously they are trying anything to get Rhys out of his slump. A "gut" move not an analytics move.

strangest lineup ever ---- Have we ever seen Hernandez and Kingery bat 1 and 2? I say that because I remember Gabe saying in Spring Training he didn't want to see guys try and steal there was no need because of the thump in the lineup....Hernandez could be a 30 SB a year guy, could he? Kingery can run, too. Quinn is hot, finally, why not let him lead off? He could be a Vince Coleman clone if he could stay healthy.

The clean up hitter 0 for 2, coming up empty with the bases loaded. But I guess the more likely cleanup hitters were responsible for getting the bases loaded in the first place. Everyone has to bat somewhere and they say batting order has little effect on run production, but I just am not comfortable with Kapler's batting orders of late.
