I’d never throw Castellanos anything but a slider if I was a pitcher.

Castellanos just cannot hold off that pitch. Swung at two that looked just off the outside corner. Of course, they were close and might have been called either way, but both looked off the strike zone on TV. Might as well chance it taking those, as he does not seem to be able to hit them. Get runners to second and third but strand them there.

Two great games so far in this series. Win 2-1 in ten, lose 0-1 in regulation nine. Some great pitching.

Phillies go for series win tomorrow.

I think holding the Mets offense to two runs in two games is more impressive than holding the Phillies to two runs.

I dunno, it's funny, when I see their names and stats they don't look that imposing. Of course the same goes for the Phillies. But minimal difference in team OPS (.738 to .731) and total runs (546 to 526, Mets with one more game). I assume those are before tonight not that it would make much of a difference!

I guess they are just a tiny bit better offensively and a little bit better in run prevention. But the main thing is they've done it all year and the Phillies took the first two months off. I assume our offense has out produced theirs since June 1, maybe pitching too?

With Bohm now hitting close to .300 & with Segura back hitting .280 & Stott looking like a solid hitter, I would say with Bryce we are a better offensive team than the Mets.

This is a team that can go toe to toe with any other team in the NL.

Yeah before the deadline a lot of people didn't think it would be worth it to just lose a short playoff series but clearly this team has a legit chance to get out of the first round (maybe even still snag home field). And after that who wouldn't want to see an NLDS against the Mets or Dodgers, even they do lose 3-2?
