Great start to this series with LA, but they need to win at least one of the two remaining games and win the series.
Other than Wheeler leaving early, a pretty good night for the Phillies.
Could have done without the walks, which should not happen with a huge lead, but none resulted in a run, so I shouldn’t complain.
Fantastic effort by the team..
Hope Wheeler and Rojas are ok.
Marsh, Turner and Marchan stood out to me, nice work.
Nice interview with JT as well, cannot wait to have him back healthy.
Merrifield cannot even get a hit against Kike Hernandez.
JT may have to play bench for a while. Marchan and Stubbs have been better offensively and defensively than he was! (kidding about benching JT...)
Can someone give me a quick update on Wheeler and Rojas? Watching a game in Richmond and did not pay attention til now. Thanks, hope not serious injuries.
Thomson said both should be OK. Expects Wheeler to make his Sunday start. Rojas looked bad, but Thomson said he's better than he seemed...
Wheeler left after 5 innings with “lower back tightness “. FWIW - the Dodgers just put Glasnow on the IL for the same thing. Rojas got hit on the wrist/hand with a fastball. Stayed in the game initially, but Pache later subbed in for him at CF.
Thanks for the info. Hope all turns out well. Seemed like an awesome game regardless!
