You could make the case for carrying both of them, if not immediately than with the extra roster spot (both in September and the shorter playoff series). Marchan is a switch-hitter and Stubbs is a LHB who can actually play the field (Marchan probably can too).
But yeah nice problem to have and a promising path for next year.

I think its coming back to the mean. His ERA was 4.18 last year. I always suspected he didnt suddenly turn into Cy Young. I image hes going to finish the year with an ERA in the high 3s or low 4s.
