Why does Realmuto sit tonight instead of tomorrow? Shouldn't the extra offense be expected to be more needed tonight with Pivetta on the mound than Nola tomorrow? Also if he is sitting a day regardless why not keep him out of the day time heat.

I guess that's what I was kind of wondering. Does Realmuto always catch for Nola even if it means giving him the night off before instead of the day of a Nola start. Does Kapler believe this is a better match up for Knapp to be successful if he is going to catch one of the two games anyways?

I don't know. It could be a choice to maximize the chances of the win tomorrow, even at the expense of weakening the lineup tonight. Maybe he doesn't figure Pivetta gives them much chance to win, so he's going to go "all in" tomorrow.
