Amazing, given a month or so ago there were concerns that they hadn't beaten anyone good.

They have the best record in the majors by 3 to 4 games. Best ERA in the majors and in the top 3 in most major pitching categories. Top 5 in most hitting categories in the majors.

It's been an amazing start to the season and this team has well earned the mantle of best team in baseball. Even if those of us scarred by longtime Philly fandom keep waiting for the rug to get pulled out from under us.

It was always just "spin" on numbers (all of which the Phillies were pretty good at).

For instance, if the Phillies have only won 23 games against teams with winning records one could still say that the vast majority of the Phillies' victories (38 of 61) have come against teams without winning records.
