Don't know how, but I wish someone could get him back in the grouve we have seen him in at times in the past. I do expect he will get hot again, but I'd like it to be soon. Maybe Hoskins comes back strong, Kingery hits like spring training, and Santana and Williams continue to get hits and homers.

Or maybe we just sink to the bottom. I think it could go either way, but regardless, I see young players getting better.

LSP is correct. this season has a chance to really go down the tubes. Players playing out of position, making a lot of loose plays and terrible hitting. Odubel has dropped from .350 and leading the league in less than a month. once the phils got their "cup of coffee" in first place, they have gone into the tank. it's like that was their goal to get to first and then they lost focus. no wonder the stadium had more than half of the blue seats showing last night. beautiful night for baseball, a friday night and not much support. Do the fans see the writing on the wall? another top 5 draft pick next year? they aren't fooled with that 2 month start. doesn't look good for that meaningful baseball i was hoping for this summer. but they're young...somewhat.

Hey they have played really bad baseball lately, outside of some outstanding pitching, and are still only 3 games back. They are getting the golden boy back soon, maybe even today. It's not time to give up yet! Heck did we give up when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor?

Taking away this game and his first game of the season against the Braves, I got to imagine Velasquez's numbers are quite good.
