And is there some injury that makes them hesitant to put Crawford at SS. He is simply better than Kingery there. Or is it a bunch of analytics kids misinterpreting small sample size fielding data?

Kingery simply should not be at SS (or in the third spot of the lineup).

I’m really tired of watching Kingery in the three hole. He needs to hit 7th or 8th if you keep running him out there. It can’t be good for his or the teams psychic.

I will certainly admit that I am baffled. Kingery is not a shortstop. Kingery is struggling with the bat. They will never know if Crawford can be the shortstop for the next several years if they don't give him a try there. Maybe they are so confident that they sign a shortstop during the coming off season that they want to make Crawford a utility player. Maybe we don't have a clue as to what the manager is thinking.
