No reliever is going to be on every time out but over using almost assures the result we are seeing today. Also, by using Neris today, he certainly is not available tomorrow, so the decision to use him here could hurt us in two games.

Never know what would have happened IF, but I'm putting this one on Kapler.

We really needed to keep the momentum going into the Marlins series and save 2 plus runs here it won’t happen.

A 3-1 Series is nice but after the disastrous week plus before that we have to win the winnable games we have. Just really disappointing!

Never know what would have happened IF, but I'm putting this one on Kapler.

I'm not much for "blame the manager" when a decision goes wrong, but in this case, I have to agree. Unless the strategy is simply to use the same relievers until their arms blow out, running Neris out there three days in a row - and then sitting on his hands when the guy struggles - is bad resource management, period. We'll see whether Kapler acknowledges that it was a bad idea from the get-go in his post-game.
